Thanks for all the follow up and seeing as that no one posted the exact spec and/or allowable tolerance, I'm guessing that Saab doesn't advertise this spec. Several of you mentioned a groove and I have none. That's what fooled me as my pulley has a serious 1/8" step down, but even all the way across. Not just the seal contact area. So perhaps the seal is wrong? A hub diameter size would quickly solve the mystery. Seal was purchased from Eeuroparts and the numbers match or cross reference properly on the web? I'd be leery about a sleeve as how would you know what the worn diameter for the sleeve and adhesion would be sketchy at best. I may try the manufacturers site for the seal and see if they make one with a slightly smaller inside diameter. I hate buying parts for the sake of buying parts so buying a new harmonic balancer, only to find mine is the same size, is not an option.
