Changing Battery...

Hi folks,
I bought a 2006 9-5 on Thursday (good deal, but high mileage car) to replace my (sadly) rusting out 1995 9000 CS (which runs perfectly, which makes this even more sad). Anyway, the car has sat for about a year and it seems the battery is dying - had to get it jumped today and it cranks slowly anyway. The question - can I replace the battery without having to reset everything else in the car? I have a battery in my 1985 900 which will fit perfectly that's brand new... but don't want to create problems with the radio/electronics in the 9-5 when I disconnect the battery. New to 9-5's so please forgive the "newbie" question.
Thanks in advance.
