I had to loosen the nut on the rear bushing and tighten it again when the control arm was in place. I also had to slightly widen the opening in the subframe for the bushing's aluminum block with some large water pump pliers. Another trick I learned was to remove the hub nut before messing with the control arm. Sometimes the strut will want to swing out when the control is unbolted, and if the CV axle is still connected to it, it may pull the inner joint apart. Once everything's bolted back in place, just jack up the control arm from underneath the ball joint to simulate loading the suspension. You just need to tighten everything with the bushings in the right place so they're not twisting when the car is at rest on its wheels.
