Driver Seat heater question

2004 wagon 160,000 miles 5 speed
The driver side seat heater gets very very hot under my right thigh, even at the low setting of the switch.
No marks or burns in the leather seat bottom.
Question? Likely the switch in the dash, or the element in the seat? Easy to DIY fix, or need a pro?
Thanks.
