Tire pressures are good - the behavior is definitely due to the acceleration and deceleration causing a fundamental change in the way the car is steering. With no change in speed, the car tracks fine and the steering works exactly as one would expect, which suggests general suspension parts are good. The behavior is similar to torque steer, but much more sudden, like something is shifting under load, then it shifts back off load - and I'm not steering when it happens. :)
The change happened suddenly...like something broke to allow this to happen, since the car behaved very well up until mid-day yesterday.
Heading out now to poke around the suspension and bushings again. Hoping maybe just the transmission mount failed completely and that is causing things to move enough to make this happen.
