Normal Turbo gauge behaviour? Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sun, 18 Sep 2016 10:18:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Car idling, standing still, the turbo is halfway in the white.
Driving, the car can be a bit hesitant, especially climbing hills, but on the descents, with the car again idling, but this time rolling at speed, the turbo drops right down to about nothing as it should.
Where should the turbo gauge normally be when idling and the car stopped? I had never really paid close attention to that before but I would think it should be about nil.
I'm suspicious of a vacuum leak, but I just replaced all the thin lines with silicone.
I'm also suspicious that the fuel pump is getting long in the tooth... I need to get an adapter and will test that on the scope with a current probe (have a pump on hand, but want to do the test anyway).
thoughts?
