The alarm issue is likely unrelated to the starting issue. The advice on fixing the alarm that you recently received is spot on. You also can just remove it. Search the board for lots of information on the alarm module -- what you are getting is the continuation of the issue you had in January and is likely accompanied by "SERVICE THEFT ALARM" message in the SID.
Dean's questions are right on with the starting issue. I have the same year and trim car as you, now with 260K. Assuming that your battery is checking good (and you've tested it, right, and aren't just going by age?) and the car is cranking (starter is spinning the engine) and its not catching, it could very well be in the cables.
By the time we figured out that my positive cable was suspect, the car would take forever to catch, with multiple attempts to start it. I thankfully never had to jump it, but the technician's theory was that the corrosion inside the cable was preventing the full strength of the current from getting everywhere it needed to, including not getting a complete charge on the battery. That meant that sometimes when cranking the starter, not enough juice was getting to the electronics to tell the fuel system to fire.
At any rate, if your positive cable is original, it's worth giving it a closer look. Mine went from long cranks before starting and battery not completely charging on short trips to starting consistently in seconds, with very bright lights and just seeming more reliable all around. Feels like it completely rejuvenated the car. The best way to check for sure is to do a voltage drop test on the cable.
