Dean & PME,
I appreciate your response. I spoke to my son to clarify since he is the primary driver.
Originally (approx 2 weeks ago) after the car was sitting for 2 days without being driven, my son attempted to start his car. At that time, the car gave a weak attempt to start by slowly turning over. But the car would not start independently. He received a jump and the car started immediately with no hesitation. He drove a short distance and it sat for another few hours. It then needed another jump.
If the car has been sitting over night,75% of the time it wil need a jump (if receiving a jump the car shows 0 hesitation in starting). On the days it does start without a jump it will give a slow but successful start. Most days, the car will "rrrrump...rrummp...rump...clickclickclick" and need a jump. It seems to be turning over but it "acts" like it is just not receiving enough power to start.
In checking the battery status at Sears (where the Diehard Gold was purchased in July '14), the gentlemen said "the battery is good and the electrical charging system seems good".
Thank you for the link regarding the voltage drop. We will check that.
Source for battery cable? Just checked eEuroparts and unavailable with no indication of receipt.
Thanks again for your help!
