I'm probably in the minority here, but a couple of years ago, I was having battery issues with a just about 2 year old Interstate. went to two separate Interstate dealers near home - the one I bought the battery from and another one. Both tested the battery using Interstate's tester. One said it was borderline, the one I bought it from said it wasn't failing and wouldn't warranty it. "Borderline" said they would replace it, as long as I paid for it, and would give me back money as long as the Interstate adjuster determined that it was within a warranty.
I gave up after that. Last straw was one evening, I sat in the car for 20 minutes with the parking lights on, engine off while I changed a couple bulbs in the seat switches. Car wouldn't start after that.
Neighbor gave me a jump. I took it to "borderline" explained, and they said it was still borderline. Went next door to Sears, bought their top tier Group 48 AGM on sale for $135, swapped it out and haven't looked back.
For $135 it wasn't worth anymore guessing games or aggravation with the Interstate dealers.
Just my experience, all -- I'm glad many of you are having better experience than I did.
