Konis do have 2 grooves for the spring perch on the shock body. The lower ring is lower than stock and the upper ring is the stock height on the Saab 9-5 rear.
So if you are suggesting that this is an adjustment well.....only if you want to lower the car. With sagging springs you need to RAISE the ride height.
Years ago I had my mechanic put Konis in the rear of my 2001 Aero. He put the perch on the lower groove and it was bottom ALL the time.
So if for example your Aero ride height is below 610mm you need spacers to raise it when you install shocks.
