Except as a way to stop a pesky coolant leak, why would you want to bypass the throttle body coolant hoses? Because of the Venturi effect, it is possible to encounter TB throat icing in humid conditions even when the outside air temperature is above freezing, e.g. wet/foggy Southern winters.
