You should be able to get a DIC on the east cost within 24-48hrs easy... but if you want to try something quick and easy first, try swapping in a new set of plugs.
Mind you, it is the same amount of work to swap the DIC, and I would put in new plugs at the same time unless you know these are fresh and the right type. Easy diy...
The advantage of trying just the plugs first is if it works, it will either save you $$ on a new DIC (which I suggest you buy anyway, especially if you are travelling to a remote location), or you will at least know that the one you have is still known good rather than not knowing for sure if it was plugs or DIC or possibly erroneously thinking the DIC was bad...
