My LED's are certainly not cheap and are not a direct replacement of the standard H7 bulb - I'm effectively replacing the complete optics. You can try H7 led replacements of course - they look whiter and appear brighter but I've never been happy with the ones I've tried - however there are lots on the market and the ones that put out the most light are probably the ones the the most cooling built in. You will need to do something about the orange "relay" to avoid a lamp warning. Either give it some ballasts or you can insulate/snip off one of the pins - can't remember which one off hand and I'm not sure that would get around any faults on the board. Rather than a standard led I prefer fitting a so called 80W halogen "off road". Only use a quality manufacturer though like Philips or Osram (if you can find them still). The geometry of the filament is almost identical to that of a standard 55 W bulb . 80W is by the way a mis-namer since the power output of a bulb is related to the voltage - which is 12v in the US and 13.2 v in the rest of the world for test purposes - and your alternator probably runs a bit higher than this anyway. Overloading the wiring is not an issue but if you have polycarbonate lenses you need to be careful I guess.
If you want to go the bi-led route, there are only three manufacturers/suppliers that I know of. Optoma - they buy them from China like everyone else and are a Russian company. You can get identical products on Aliexpress. iLens which is available in the US. And finally Morimotor who have launched this month - sound like a quality product and you need to pay accordingly - serious money - well they all are really.
