> what is able to produce these symptoms.
the symptoms of "pulling to one side" and "uneven tire wear" have only one cause: bad alignment. You could say that the "proximal cause" of those symptoms is bad alignment. But you need to get to the "root cause". the root cause of a bad alignment can be:
- car was poorly aligned by the 16 yr old chain store alignment hack
- worn components such as bushings, suspension arms, links, etc.
- bent or broken components
> I've replaced the lower control arm and bushings no change.
You will not be able to fix a bad alignment by replacing things. you have to replace what is broken, bent and worn first, then set the ride height ... then (and only then) get a good alignment.

"Those guys" are wrong, the car is not aligned properly. Mark and pme are right though, alignments are done with the weight of the car on the wheels.
If you have more than 120k miles on this car you are overdue for suspension component refresh. You need to:
- replace the worn bushings and end links
- replace any bent components
- set the ride height correctly
Only after *all* of that is done take it to a reputable alignment shop for an alignment.
