You were right. Although I was worried that I might mess it up and thus require drilling out or something I took the cover off and sure enough there was just enough still there. Turned it carefully with some pliers and bingo.
Will get on with putting it all back together again now once I buy another bolt.... or two, ha! THANK YOU !!!!
Now guess what though..... It's not my day...
Went to check tranny fluid level while it was running and 2 inches of the plastic tip of the dipstick STAYED in the tranny fill/dipstick tube.
Does anyone know if this is a big deal? Is there some kind of screeen or something in there to prevent it from causing issues?
Can I just take the tube off?
