If you do remove the fans, don't forget the tranny lines are attached to the bottom of the fan shroud by a pesky hard to get a bolt which you have to remove first. BUT...you may not have to replace the seals. Mine were not leaking but were ssssssurprisingly loose to remove - I was prepared for a fight. Maybe you can tighten the bottom one from underneath with some sort of wrench or small socket without moving anything else (i recently purchased a set of 3 finger ratchets in case I needed them). It will probably be a blind job with unnervingly tight access. Sorry, can't really remember if this would actually be doable since I removed them after the shroud was already off off. Swedecar is the ultimate authority.
