I have a similar issue with my V6 9-5. For me it's a head gasket issue. Drive the car and let it warm up, then park for work. After work, it chugs and gags and I get a little white smoke. Then the white smoke is gone and everything is fine.
While engine is running, a little combustion air gets into the coolant. After parking, there's no more combustion pressure and the coolant leaks into a cylinder somewhere.
Here's hoping it's something a lot simpler than a head gasket.
