Those are all good things to check. One thing you don't want to forgot about is the coolant bypass valve as well. I had one last year that would barely allow any hot water into the heater core. The solonoid on the bypass valve goes through the big connector above it and I have had corrosion on the pins in the connector cause codes in the ACC, but I never noticed any performance issues when that happened.
