Great stuff, nice to know! Thanks,
Recently, my power driver memory seat M-1-2-3 stopped working, it would not remember position when M and any number is depressed at the same time, however 1-2-3 would work when depressed. I've took the memory switch apart, and noticed that a thin contact layer of copper, a trace, on PCB board has eroded, I guess from years of driver side window left partially open and rain water making inside the switch and making a mess there. With a multimeter, I have confirmed that circuit is broken and that pressing M is useless. I have cleaned a failed sector of copper strip on both sides, applied masking tape on both sides to create a channel for solder, applied flux and started tracing it with soldering iron and slowly filling it with solder. Checked circuit with a meter, applied wife's clear nail polish on newly applied solder, removed masking tape and - Voila. Got my power seat/ mirror memory back.
