I’d do a voltage drop test (under load) on the positive battery cable, especially if it is original.
Over time the cable corrodes internally, severely impacting the ability of the cable to transfer enough current from the alternator to refresh the battery quickly. In my case this was most noticeable when doing short stop and start cycles (like out running errands). When drove for 30 minutes or more (as a on my commute) the battery recovered better.
When trying to start after a short run, I would have similar symptoms to yours and was told that not enough juice was flowing to crank the starter motor and also fire the fuel system electronics.
Replacing the positive was nothing short of a miracle.
Just my experience with a 2003 9-5.
