incentives, these cars will keep depreciate the way they are. I also leased my 9-5 ain May and right now the deal is better than waht I was able to negotiate then. This is why I will NEVER buy a new Saab. It is probably the worse investment anybody can make. They way to go about this is leasing the car. After three years, then I will decide whether I want to buy my own car or do something else. What is great about leasing is that after the lease is up, there is a chance to negotiate your residual,Sometimes you can buy the car for a better price. THAT IS THE DEAL!!!!
As far the shape being square and the looks of the car, I happen to like the looks of the 9-5. yes, it is an older body style, but the car has aged well and still looks fresh. I look at an Infiniti or a LExus and BORING!!!!
Also part of the depreciation is the fact that SAAB is not a big seller in General and that is reflected in the after market too. Everybody wants a Beemer so their values and demand stay up there.
