I have experienced EXACTLY the same problem since I got my 1999 9-5 SE a month ago. At first I thought it was because the interior was cleaned and there probably was some dampness. However that usually goes away within a week. Also, cars that are wet inside will fog up when left outside on cold nights. This problem only seems to occur when the car has been running about 15 minutes and is at normal operating temperature, and only when the temperature is around freezing. The first time I took it to the dealer for this problem they couldn't find anything--although it was probably too warm that day for the problem to occur. However, I just picked up the car today after leaving it all week for them to find this problem. Once again they found nothing. They said they drove it around and didn't notice any fogging. I don't know what kind of mechanics they have working there, because sure enough by the time I got home it was completely fogged. Also, the temperature gage seems to be fluctuating between medium and low, even after the car has been running for sometime. When it goes to low, not much heat seems to come from the vents. (The dealer said they didn't find anything wrong with this either) It seems to me this might be a thermostat or heater core issue. I don't know if this is related to the fogging or not. I am positive the heater core is not leaking in the ususal sense--can't smell antifreeze and no film on the windoes--and tonight pulled out the front carpets to see if they were wet, but they were bone dry. This problem is extremely frustrating because it can be dangerous to drive when it gets real bad. If I can get this problem fixed I'll let you know.
