The Michlins OEM's lasted 35k miles but became unbearably loud & rough. I happily placed Conti Sports & was very happy with ride, noise & performance. The honeymoon lasted 8k miles when they became louder & rougher than the Michlins. A large body of experince as detailed @ tirerack confired that this was a common occurance with these tires.
The same TireRack reviews were consistantly positive about the Sumitomo HRTZ. So, after paying ~$850 for the 4 Contis, the new Sumitomos cost~$ 525 installed (17-235-45). The Sumitomos have been flawless: quiet, smooth, & good performance - they turn, stop, change direction as well or better than the Contis or Michlins. I'd buy them again.
