TKC, check your e-mail.
I had this problem. Typically, the marks can only be seen under certain
lighting conditions; under different lighting they are virtually
indiscernible. Also they appear to be in the paint BENEATH the lacquer,
so cannot be polished out. My Aero was also silver.
My dealer explained that, because the paint/lacquer used is water based,
it can be liable to moisture ingress under certain conditions: i.e. when
the vehicles are in transit, they are covered in a thick polythene
'shrink wrap' held down onto the bodywork in places with adhesive tape.
The tape absorbes moisture which then remains in direct contact with the
lacquer underneath; and the lacquer/paintwork absorbes the moisture
leaving a 'haze' the same size and shape as the area of tape in contact
with the bodywork. Similarly, moisture trapped under the polythene can
also be absorbed into the paint leaving more randomly shaped blemishes
in the paint.
The marks can be removed with a heat gun (or even a hair dryer if you have
the patience) or, as my dealer suggested by placing the vehicle in their
bodyshop's pain oven and literally 'roasting' it out. Not sure whether I
would personally recommend the latter for a new car, though--think about
all those flexible seals throughout the bodywork that could end up
being baked hard...
Alternatively, it is possibly that these 'watermarks' might just fade
with time, as they effectively 'dry out' and the surrounding paintwork
adjusts to the ambient humidity, thus equalising the amount of damp
throughout the painted surface.
I'd alert your dealer so it's on record, maybe try the hair dryer
approach on one affected area, and monitor the rest over the next few
weeks to see if the mars begin to fade.
I'd be interested to know the outcome.
