Depends on what side of the car.
Driver's side is a piece of cake, lots of room to access rear of lamp housing inside the engine compartment. Passenger's side is more difficult. I have always had to remove the grille, the right side turnsignal housing, and the right side headlamp housing to reach the bulb.
A coworker had his right side lamp replaced at the dealership and they did it from the engine compartment! Others on this board have reported the same thing. I still don't know how the Techs bend their wrists around the air inlet hose to reach the rear of the lamp housing.
