I have 2 -2002 SAABS,
1. 9-5 AERO and 2. 9-3 SE
The 9-3's brakes (pads and rotors) were just replaced. I replaced them with EBC Greenstuff pads. These same pads fit the 9-3 and the 9-5 and the Viggen and the AERO.
I havd them for almost 2 weeks, and you could search my posts on the 9-3 BB for additional details of my install from the last 2 weeks.
Bedded in agressively with 15 stops from 55/60 mph to 5 mph in increasing g-force pressure--but just enough not to fire up the ABS while bedding in.
Results: No squeal/squeak/skreeech. Great braking power, especially in high g-force, "almost-ABS" stops.
Low dust. My take is that the EBC produce about 33% of the dust that the OE pads produce over the same period.
No problems cold or wet.
A good value for the $92 bucks I spent.
Highly recommended. No regrets whatsoever. And I've been a LONGTIME SAAB owner.
I'm gonna do the 9-5 AERO in EBC pads as well. Real soon.
