I had a 1994 GTP with the 3.4L DOHC V6 and I loved the way that thing handled for a car of its size. It stayed extremely flat around corners and moved well, just the fuel economy wasn't that great, and the brake rotors were undersized so they warped a couple of times. Great in the winter, believe it or not.
My brother has a 1998 GTP and a 2003 GTP Comp G. He likes his new car, and I have driven it. I must say it is much more refined with the NVH and interior materials. It has a great exhaust sound. The exterior styling looks better every time I see it, (has a bit of retro characteristics from late 60s American cars if you look closely). The things I don't like are that it feels a bit claustrophobic with the cockpit feel and the rear seats are too low for adults. It is a great deal though for the price versus performance and features like HUD. The fold-flat front passenger seat allows you to fit an 8 foot ladder through the trunk. Also, the 3.8L V6 has been around for a long time, almost bullet-proof. It is quite a bit bigger than an Acura TSX.
Good luck with whatever you decide,
