I've never driven a Viggen, but i have driven 9-5 Aero and the 9-3 base and SE.
I've talked to a couple customers who have owned the Aero for a while. One's complaints were very minor - the worst of it was he didn't like the cupholder position compared to his Tahoe. Another customer banged up the low front spoiler, as he didn't give much care to how low it is to the ground when he was entering steep driveway ramps, etc.
The Aero has great handling, and a more luxurious ride (both seats and suspension) as opposed to a firmer ride then the 9-3's. The Aero's are only about 3 grand more then a similarly equipped 9-5 base, and well worth it in my opinion.
Unless you really like a firm sporty harder ride, when you drive the 9-3 then 9-5 back to back, most people, myself included, like the comfort and feel of the 9-5 much better. Interior space is larger in the 9-5 of course, more luxurious inside, and if you are taking back seat guests, you will be treating them significantly better in the 9-5 then in the 9-3.
