a good idea here in Denmark. The climate here is similar to what the Nokian site says about central Europe. Mild and rainy, with maybe 2 weeks of snow.
So the winter tires sold here have to be good not only on ice and snow, but also on dry and wet roads. The primary benefit of these tires over all-season is the softer tire compound. As the temperatures get below 7 celsius the compound in all-season and especially summer tires get too hard and grips poorly.
The point is you should use winter tires that are made for the conditions they're going to perform in. It's a very poor compromise to use all-season (= no-season) tires as they're mediocre in all conditions, even if you only get a couple of days of snow every year. So if it gets below 7-10 degrees celsius for longer periods of time you should use winter tires.
