very early this morning around 2am I was driving with friends after going to a club. Going through a drive through, we heard a ticking sound coming from what we thought was the car behind us. Turns out, it was the SAAB making this noise. It was around 22 degrees and completely foggy, rare for Denver. Shut the car off for awhile and ate, then checked the oil. Didn't register much on the dipstick, probably b/c the oil hadn't settled yet. Started the car and the ticking was gone, drove it about 50 more miles and everything was acting/sounding like normal. Drove car this morning for awhile, everything seems just fine.
I might add that while ordering the food, the noise began out the of the blue. That's why we thought it was the car behind us that had pulled up.
So what's the deal, is this something to worry about? The car goes in next week for oil and a few warranty issues, I'll bring it up then but am I okay for now?
thanks!
buddy
