For stuck rims: loosen your lugs a bit and roll back applying brakes; then roll fwd and apply your brakes. When I (successfully) did this, I had hoped to hear a 'snap' but I didn't. Nevertheless, there was no problem taking the wheels off. Instead of using the special lubricant to prevent this from happening again, I took a tip from the drag racing community and used talcum powder. This application has yet to be tested on a wheel-rotation. Since I have yet to rotate summers only, all my rotations have been summer-winter changeovers.
On the plugs, something I've done a couple of times, grab a handfull of guts and a torque wrench set to 20 pounds for install. Carefully and accurately proceed to removal and install.
I've never used a special lubricant for install although a perfectionist will insist upon it. So far so good through 2 plug changes.
The downside is worth mentioning. If you screw this up, it's a helluva mess in your block boring to remove the bad plug-set but I take it this happens so very rarely, and in such crude hands, that by far the majority of cars will never ever suffer through it.
