It is my understanding that the CPO includes brakes pads and tires that are within certain specs, and other than running over a spike, you'd be highly unlikely to have to replace either within the first year, probably at least 2 years unless you drive a whole lot.
And the warranty covers you bumper to bumper (for the most part), so there shouldn't be much concern there. I'm sure Mike can elaborate here.
Now, if you have your heart set on a new one, that's different!
