Most techs disable the rad fans and headlights when updating a T-7 ECM. This keeps the battery from going dead while the update is occuring. I had a car that came in with an overheat problem after a T-7 update from another dealer. Sure enough, the rad fan connector was still disconnected. Pluged it in and problem solved. FWIW, I pull the 40 amp fan fuse from the underhood fuse panel and put it in the upside down fuse lid, so I don't forget to put it back. Bottom line is to make sure the fans work.
Good luck,
Steve Crowe, Saab Master Tech
