I suggest going to http://www.thesaabsite.com and looking at the pictorial of the belt routing diagram (click on "9-5 Parts", then select "Belt and Pulleys").
The illustration will show which pulley is the belt tensioner one. The 1/2-inch square hole for breaker bar is cast into the aluminum body of the spring tensioner. It is on the top side slightly pointing towards the firewall - maybe the 11 o'clock position.
Insert breaker bar and pull towards front of car to release tension. Supposedly there is a small hole into which you can insert a 3mm hex key or such to hold the tensioner in the fully retracted position to assist getting the belts on and off the pulleys. I have never been able to locate this hole to make it work and just slowly release the breaker bar after the old belt is off and the new one is being routed on.
You will probably also want to remove the under engine plastic shroud (5 screws, 4 under the car and one in right front wheel well) to assist with getting the belt on the pulleys correctly.
Surprised you received no answers over the weekend, hope this still helps.
