I have the same year and model and have tried on 5 attemps--all within warranty period--to have dealership fix problem. They have thrown everything from new plugs to cleaning the throttle body to upgrading software to [can't even remember it all]. They acknowledge the problem but say that SAAB doesn't have a fix for it. I have always ran premium fuel, I have given the car several bottles of Techron, all service has been completed and has been all at the dealership.
SAAB USA is of absolutely no help, although they say they're there to help. I spent over an hour on the phone with them today at lunch..no progress. We are simply suppose to live with it.
Take your car to the dealer ASAP as your warranty is probably phasing out if its not already (based upon the year). Please post and/or email me and share your results, no matter what they are.
Thanks. Hopefully we can work together (all the V6 owners having this issue) to get SAAB to step up to the plate.
For the record, this problem does not affect all V6s (obviously). I've been driving a colleague's 1999 9-5 V6 with 85,000 miles and it runs beautifully, no stalling/sluggish issues at all.
I have a feeling this problem is more serious than we think, SAAB wants nothing to do with it.
