Hi David,
I have a wagon, too, and used the same antenna. I went with option 2. It works very well. To run the cable, I did the following: 1) remove passenger sun visor (2-3 screws), 2) remove A pillar (just pull the rubber black trim that covers the pillar downward/away from the frame; it comes right off; then pull the A pillar away from the frame; also comes right off), 3) with those 2 items off, you can pull the headliner down a little and use cable ties to fasten the antenna cable to the wiring that's already running this route, 4) remove the plastic cover under the glove box (a 4-5 screws), 5) roll down the carpet in the passenger leg area (enough to get to the cable that comes from the phone's cradle), 6) run the cable down from the A pillar around/under the glove box, and along the side of the passenger leg area and tie it in place where you can (I also took off the ~5" x ~6" plastic cover on the outside-right-side of the dash, i.e., covered by the passenger door when it is closed; this allows you to stick your hand in there and help route the cable).
I hope this makes sense!
Marc
