Don't forget to add detonation to your list of variables. All Saab turbos since the advent of APC have allowed boost to build to the point of detonation then, IIRC, dial back boost, ignition timing and fuel delivery in response. The Trionic system monitors detonation on a cylinder-specific basis and adjusts timing and fuel, cylinder by cylinder--making it almost instantaneous and very efficient. Presumably it's bleeding off boost in response as well.
Hot weather both decreases the air density and increases engine temps--a double whammy for power delivery. I'd speculate your humid air *might* actually help preserve power a little (I'm thinking of water injection and how it helps lower cylinder temps). I don't think these conditions would cause noticeable lag, only limit maximum output. The air conditioning will rob some power, as will the alternator under full load running all those cabin and cooling fans. But that's not turbo lag, it's parasitic engine power loss.
Here, it was a DRY 105 yesterday. In this kind of weather I only notice minor power loss due to running the AC full-tilt. Switch the AC off and I don't notice a loss of power at all. There's never any "turbo lag" with the LPTs due to those tiny turbos. Contrast with my former '87 9kT, THAT had turbo lag, especially when turning left against heavy traffic. It could be very exciting!
