If you added pure isopropyl alcohol, a pint or even a quart to a half full or more tank, you didn't do any harm and the isopropyl alcohol picked up any excess water in the fuel. If you added rubbing alcohol, you just added water to the gas although it's dissolved in the alcohol, or vice versa, and probably won't harm the system. The glycerin usually in rubbing alcohol won't do it any good, however (intake valve deposit, but probably negligible unless you run gallons through the engine!).
ETOH as an additive for HC reduction (notice I'm not arguing for NOX reduction) doesn't do much for HOH removal from your tank since the ETOH added is probably already saturated...what, you don't think it's picked up HOH from the air or the ground tanks the fuel is stored in?
So long story short, if you're in cold weather, probably below 10F for extended periods, a can of Heet or fuel deicer isn't a bad idea and may save you a tow to a warm garage.
