My '85 900T had rust in the wheel arch on the driver side that was sloppily repaired with fiberglass and bondo. I wanted to fix it but never got around to it until I wrecked the car. I destroyed the hood, bumper, lights, rusty fender etc. Being low on cash I got all the parts I needed at Gary's U-pullit in Binghamton, NY for $128. If you have access to a mig welder it is not really that hard to cut off the rusted parts and weld on new yourself. You need a spot weld cutter to drill off the factory welds and a grinder to smooth it all out. Then just weld away. You need to pull the doors to access the spot welds for the fenders. Mark the hinges to make lining everything up easy. This was my first experiment with a mig welder and it came out great. The hood unbolts with two bolts. It's a snap. My girlfriend took off the one at the junkyard herself and she didn't even know how a ratchet worked before that day. I can talk you through a fender job if you need any help.
