Start by putting a large, thick washer under you M8 bolt that's threaded in. Then whack the bolt as hard as you can in the limited space available to jar the circlip good. Now put your lever under the washer and pry. It helps to have two levers and do it from opposite sides simultaneously to prevent binding from lateral loading. That is usually the problem. Put a thin sheet of ply or double thick cardboard across the radiator in the strike zone in case it really comes flying out. If you are still having trouble, yanking the radiator gives a good bit of extra work space. The shaft will not come completely out with the radiator in, but it comes out enough to let the clutch assembly out. Those clutch covers can be ornery.
