? on AC belt removal and Harmonic Balancer resonance(long)

I heard on this BB that some people removed their AC compressor to get access and more power, little I am sure, so I said why not. I really did not want to remove the AC at the time so I removed the belt and hung it on the wall. Well a gremlin of a resonance at 2800-3400 rpm grew in to a very noticeable resonance. This noise is not felt in the stick. Coincidentally after visual inspection I noticed some one had twisted of one of my AC mounting torque bolts. SO there is only on holding it to the head. When I replaced the belt to get rid of the resonance which it mostly did, the AC compressor now vibrates due to this new load and this causes a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel, not to mention it is torque's down the engine at idle (no, the AC is not on).
Question. Can I re-remove the AC belt without causing issues with Harmonic Balancer and leave it like that until I tap and "easy out" the bolt or should I leave the belt on have less resonance issues but more vibration and torque on engine. I am guessing this is a no brainer (remove AC belt) but I just had the Harmonic Balancer replaced and I don't want to pay for a new one right away.
I am guessing the clutch may be suspect for original resonance gremlin, but I am waiting to be able to afford a new centerforce clutch.
Thanks ahead of time
Jack
