I just bought a really straight bodied red 86 900T at a recent tow auction. (interior faded, inside of doors oddly and badly rusted?) They started it up before the bidding but didn't move the car. (hoping I was getting a chery for My 300 dollars) After the auction was over I started my new treasure and no movement was to be had. I ran it through all five gears and reverse, no movement at all. I looked under the hood and could see the shifting rod moving below the exhaust manifold, no other diagnostic observations yet. Where should I look first? Could this be something simple? Or is the transmision/or clutch likely toast? The car has right at 100,000 miles showing. I beleive I'm the third owner by the maintenance reciepts in the glove box. First owner had it regualarily maintained by mountain of stubs, 2nd owner seemed to do very little. This is all I know about the car. Maybe somebody from the list owned it before? (abandoned in Kansas City)
