My '91 900S SRS light has been blinking for about 11 months. At first, It was annoying, but now, I don't barely even see it. However, I know what caused it to do this. I pulled fuse 7 while looking for a blown fuse. Bad thing! This registered a fault in the system. I immediatly called my Saab Dealer which is 70 miles away. They said tha the airbag would opperate in the event of an accident. I was looking through archives and came across this message by Brian:

it has to be reset by the dealer. its a diag. tool most indy saab shops don't have. will cost at least $30 US. was the light on before you worked on the arm? sometimes it illuminates as a preset maintenence notification (my case) or it maybe due to a problem. only the tool will tell. good luck. i pulled the bulb in the instrument cluster - but this also means it won't work and i may die in a crash. knock on wood.

This now has me concerned. WILL or WILL IT NOT go off in the evnt of a severe accident(god forbid)?
Dealer said it would take 2-3hrs, to reset, which I KNOW is BS because they simpily need to hook-up their little computer and hit a button! I think MAYBE 20min. (with a interior vaccuum and exterior wash of course, haha) I will discuss this with them seeing that they wanted to charge me $170!!
