Hey HiFi. From what I understand it won't work, but I'm no tech and haven't spoken to a dealer. On the other hand, maybe a fault code caused by pulling a fuse may register as merely a signal interuption and not cause inoperation. My fault was caused the failure of the SRS/horn contact ring (no horns either) which won't allow the bag to function. I don't know the dynamics of the chip for this thing - (if one fault is different than another) but I imagine it has a code for where/in what component an interuption or failure occurs. What I'm unsure of is if one type of fault allows continued operation while another may not. I do know that pulling the BULB will not allow the SRS system to function.
It should be $30 to $35 to reset. The plug is just behind the knee bolster on the passenger side - mine is hanging out. I think they always assume to find other problems - a possible source of customer-ignorant profit?
Please let me know if you get any more/other information
