the thing is.... a tune up is all about what you need. so I would inspect,
plugs center electrode for a rounded off warn apearance, cap contacts inside, rotor the end that rotates, wires do they look old ? pull the spark plug cover off & run it in the dark look at the wires & look for a glow or sparls arking around wires, air filterfairly obvious. replace what looks warn out.just replace the fuel filter if you cant remember when it was done last.
use good quality parts. I use ngk. plugs & bosch cap& rotor & f.f.look around at wires the OE. wires last an awful long time .
your car has electonic ignition which is relyable, dont change it.
if you havent ever set timing get a manual to tell you how but dont just change it with out useing a timing light.timing dosent realy change much & you probably dont need to mess with it.
tools... screwdrivers 3/8 drive rachet 6" extencion 5/8 spark plug socket& I cant remember exactly the size wrenches for the fuel filter I think 17mm & 19 mm but even the newer bosch filters are a little diferent than the older ones ( the hex that you holdthe filter still with while you break loose & tighten the fittings 7/8? 22mm?
anyway.... I hope this is helpful, good luck.
