In my search for proper gas mileage it dawned on me that my check engine light has never come on when starting the car. So, I check the bulb and its not there...damn p.o. I popped a bulb in and the light is on solid.

Not having to pull codes on a saab (or any car) yet, I could use a little basic guidance. My bentley is tattered from everything else I've done and learned but the check engine light code section has me a bit stumped.

My new O2 sensor just showed up and I plan make a snow angel under my car in the snow putting that in this weekend. IF the light is on due to the sensor (no, i don't really expect this kind of good fortune) will it go off on its own once replaced? The idle is a little surgy and fussy (very little - more "felt" than seen on the needle) but since I discoverd a short at the coil I have good accel again.
