I need to take an intro Saab class...(longish)

On December 23rd I purchased a 1990 900S, 85K, 5sp, n/a.
Its a fantastic vehicle- the most fun I have ever had driving. Unfortunately, in the 3 months I have owned it, I've put about $1000 bucks into it (25% of the purchase price). I was prep'd for this type of expenditure- but not in such a short period of time- I figured over the first year to work out any old kinks.
My plan was to get educated and do some of my own work. (Which I did-- one minor fix, but still an accomplishment for me!). However, at this rate, the repairs are outpacing my knowledge. Do any techs take on beginners for a short, basic repair course??? I know they have a Viggen 'flight academy' which probably goes over user info. In the least I could use that for my classic. Does such a class exist formally or informally in the NE?
The running tab: So far I have had to get new front brakes- pads and rotors. Replace the two mufflers (resonator) and the pipe that attaches them. Replace a bad crank sensor and adjoining piece (can't remember name). And fix the hatch and locking mechanism (which I did myself with the help of Bentley, yeah!). Hopefully this- and oil every 3k- will be all for a good long time.
Thoughts, support, or words o'wisdom?
