On stock springs, probably not

It depends on your shocks and springs. Are they done? Springs don't wear out (usually) Shocks, on the other hand, get tired more rapidly.
I put Super Aeros (16 x 6.5" rims) on my SPG, with 205-50-16 size tires. They rubbed, but only on the SPG fender arch flares. To cure this, I installed bump stop spacers from a 900 covertible, and the problem is almost all gone, except for when carrying a heavy load or in super hard turns. I suspect I could use new rear shocks, and I will be installing Bilsteins soon. Perhaps when I get my 1998 CSE wheels ready to go.....
For a stock suspension, I'd be surprised if they rub. Like another person said, offset matters greatly. Good luck!

- Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the offset of the wheels. n/m, Tcar, Wed, 16 May 2001 14:00:42
