"Option package conversions may be performed between specific vehicles of a particular make and model, but only between configurations from within a particular model year. Such conversions must be totally complete and the resultant car must meet all requirements of this section."
I consider the SPG and option to the 900 turbo, or any 900. AFAIK, the 'roadholding kit' used SPG springs, marked with silver or gold bands. Car could have been ordered with this kit dealer installed, so I think this swap passes 2 ways.
Non-adjustable shocks are open, so kit shocks (yel/blue bilsteins?) are fine, and should work well.
Since front springs are VERY stiff, may get best handling and front traction with front bar removed, and/or poly bushings in rear bar (both legal in stock class).
About 1/2 deg neg camber good compromise for race/street, with a trace of toe in (less than spec) and 2.6 caster (more than spec).

Normall 205 is too wide for 5.5 wheels in street use, but they will help in auto-x. That's y you need a set of used, cheap/ugly saab wheels for race weekends.
Invest is a set of Toyo RA-1 dot race compound tires. These make a huge difference. RA-1's have more tread than most other R-compounds, and should last many years if used mostly for auto-x. Could be your summer tires ...
