Hi guys. My conversion worked great and I am cruisin around with my new manual. My 1983 900 seems to be in good shape except for some rust which I am working on.
Now I am wondering what new project I should undertake. I have the idea to eventually put in a 16V and a turbo. There are like 3 16V saabs at a local yard. But all the turbo from like the 7 saabs there have been taken. Don't know what the deal is.
What are your oppinions guys?? I wanna do a rebuild on both the engine and the turbo myself. One at a time ofcourse. Learning by rebuilding is great.
I am thinking of rebuilding the turbo first. What is a good place to get a turbo which is in alright shape. How hard is it to rebuild a turbo in comparison to let's say a tranny?
I welcome thoughts!!
P.S. This is a simple question, but are 16V saabs DOHC??
